G

GARO
[Garo] [Behavior] They hide in the shadows, awaiting orders from Master Garo, their leader.

[Tactics] You'll be trapped in an arena of fire, so there isn't any running away from a Garo once you're engaged in battle with it. Use your shield as it attacks, and it will knock it off balance. A jump slice should do the trick(or two normal slashes).

[Tid-bits]When they're defeated, they'll not only leave spoils, but they'll let you in on a little secret of Ikana.

GEL
[Gel] [Behavior] Gels are simple blob-like enemies that hid inside dungeons waiting for link to pass by. When struck, they split into two more smaller Gels.

[Tactics]Slash it, and then kill the two mini-Gels with a spin slash before they can separate further.

[Tid-bits]Gels made their first appearance in [i]The Legend of Zelda[/i], and continued on to other Zelda games. Its speculated that the newer "Chu-chu" is directly derived from the Gel's of old.

GHINI
[Ghini] [Behavior] Ghinis float around a given area until they spot prey and close in for an attack. They'll either attack by running into you to cause damage, or by grabbing you with its tongue to cause damage that way.

[Tactics] Get the jump on it and take it down, not too difficult if you get the first attack.

[Tidbits] Ghinis are attracted to light. Thus, dousing any light source on you can prevent detection.

GIBDO
[Gibdo] [Behavior] Gibdos shuffle across a room, lurching towards any perceived enemies. If they catch you they may squeeze you to cause a HEAVY amount of damage. Avoid this attack at all costs.

[Tactics] Burn away their bandages, thus either (1) killing the Gibdo or (2) revealing a Stalfos underneath, making them tenfold easier to defeat.

[Tidbits] Gibdos are squeezably soft.

GORIYA
[Goriya] [Behavior] Goriya typically carry boomerangs, which they whack distracted travelers with.

[Tactics] Jump over, duck under, or block their projectiles with your shield.Get in close, and use the downward slash to take them out without much trouble. Simply slashing works as well.

[Tidbits] A Goriya can be found many places, including dungeons, caves, swamps, and plains.
